Pete Schow is the vice president of the real estate practice at Saxony Partners. He was the company’s sixth hire, joining in 2013 as a Program Manager.
After stints at CBRE, FTS International, and D.R. Horton, Pete came to Saxony Partners with the goal of assembling a team of knowledgeable and well-respected colleagues to build a unique consulting firm.
“We’ve created the only full-service real estate technology firm in this space,” Pete says. “We can build out your data and technology strategy, as well as the custom solutions you’ll need to achieve your business goals. And since we support what we build, we provide ongoing maintenance and training to ensure that you continue to achieve your goals into the future – even as they evolve and change.”
Pete has more than a dozen years of experience managing multiple enterprise-level projects in commercial real estate, private equity, and residential and multifamily home construction and sales. Throughout the course of his career, he has managed projects including technology strategy, data governance, business process management, and custom solution development. Beyond this, Pete has worked extensively on projects related Pereview, Saxony’s software solution for real estate asset management.
“My goal has always been to establish trust and facilitate communication, both within the real estate team here at Saxony, and between Saxony and our client partners,” Pete says. “We do that by listening to a variety of different perspectives and addressing client challenges head-on.”
There’s no shortage of challenges faced by clients in the real estate asset management space. Many of them can be traced back to a lack of data strategy and/or data governance. While there are any number of firms that can build data warehouses and analytics platforms, Saxony is the only firm that can do so with thorough understanding of the real estate industry.
“Our people come from the real estate space,” Pete says. “We were founded by alumni from Goldman Sachs and Archon Group, so we know real estate inside and out. So our clients get the benefit of people who know the industry, as well as people with unparalleled technology expertise. It’s the best of all worlds.”
Going forward, Pete sees technology and data strategy playing an ever-increasing role in the real estate industry.
“I believe you’ll see more custom integrations and APIs,” Pete says. “As firms continue to embrace new tech solutions, there will be a premium on ensuring that those different systems can communicate with one another.
“Of course, that’s what we do here at Saxony Partners. We integrate disparate systems. We ensure that your data lives within one Single Source of Truth. By doing this, you’ll ensure that your reporting is more accurate and your operations more efficient.”
Pete graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. Outside of the office, Pete’s interests include motorsports, cycling, and running. He and his wife frequently provide foster care for animals in need and support various animal and pet charities.
